Randonnée au château de Castelbell

Le château de Castelbell est situé de manière pittoresque sur un imposant rocher sur la rive gauche de l'Adige. Le rocher n'est pas très haut, mais il descend si abruptement vers la vallée que le château semble veiller sur le Val Venosta, dans le Tyrol du Sud, de manière toute-puissante.

Le château de Castelbell a été agrandi et amélioré à plusieurs reprises au cours des siècles. Aujourd'hui, il mesure 70 m de long et à peine 30 de large. La chapelle du 14e siècle avec ses fresques romanes et la cuisine du château sont particulièrement remarquables. Elle a conservé jusqu'à aujourd'hui son aspect incroyablement ancien.

Description de l'itinéraire :

Depuis la gare de train de Kastelbell dans le Val Venosta, il faut compter une heure et demie pour arriver au château. Le côté nord offre une belle vue sur le grand château. En suivant le Latschanderwaal et en passant par la Burguine Hochgalsaun, on atteint finalement le château.
