Le Val Venosta se trouve aux pieds du roi Ortles et est sans doute l'une des régions de vacances les plus variées du Tyrol du Sud : des sommets recouverts de glaciers au Sud et au Nord et, au milieu, des champs de pommiers et des vignobles à perte de vue.

La meilleure façon d'explorer le Val Venosta est de pédaler à travers les champs de pommiers ou de marcher sur les nombreux sentiers de Waal situés sur le versant ensoleillé de la vallée. Ces sentiers variés, qui longent les anciens canaux d'irrigation - appelés Waalen -, relient les nombreuses petites et grandes localités du Val Venosta, qui valent particulièrement la peine d'être visitées au printemps, lorsque les pommiers sont en fleurs, et en automne, pendant les vendanges.
