Touriseum Merano
Il est le premier musée de ce type dans l'espace alpin et se trouve au milieu du magnifique jardin botanique qui porte le même nom que le château. Le Touriseum lui-même se consacre exclusivement à l'histoire du tourisme dans le Tyrol du Sud.
Dans l'ancienne résidence de vacances de l'impératrice Elisabeth (1870 et 1889), 200 ans d'histoire du tourisme dans le Tyrol du Sud sont racontés du point de vue des voyageurs et des hôtes. Trois thèmes fondamentaux sont abordés :
- Comment le Tyrol du Sud est-il devenu un site touristique ?
- Le Tyrol du Sud du point de vue des voyageurs et des personnes ayant séjourné dans la région.
- Le tourisme en tant que secteur d'activité
Ces 3 thèmes de base sont traités dans un parcours vivant. Le visiteur commence en 1750, lorsque les Alpes étaient un lieu de terreur, se promène en 1890, lorsque Merano en particulier a connu son apogée en tant que ville thermale, apprend comment la guerre s'est installée dans le paradis des vacances en 1914 et voyage à travers les années du "miracle économique" jusqu'à l'époque actuelle, où le Tyrol du Sud est désormais mondialement connu en tant que "marque".
Après la visite du musée, le "salon" du deuxième étage invite à la lecture et à la détente. Dans la petite tour des blagues, on peut s'amuser avec des caricatures et des blagues sur le tourisme dans le Tyrol du Sud ou s'informer plus en détail sur les réalités historiques, diverses statistiques, etc. à la station informatique. L'attraction à la sortie est le plus grand flipper touristique du monde. L'exposition se termine par un parcours symbolique à travers le Tyrol du Sud.
