Musée de la montagne Messner Corones
Le Messner Mountain Museum Corones est consacré à l'alpinisme traditionnel et impressionne par son architecture géniale et ses panoramas de montagne à couper le souffle autour du Plan de Corones.
Le MMM Corones, situé sur le plateau sommital de la montagne de randonnée et de ski du Plan de Corones (2 275 m), a été conçu par Zaha Hadid. Cette construction moderne s'intègre harmonieusement dans l'environnement montagnard tout en offrant des vues uniques - des Dolomites aux Alpes du Zillertal. Le nom du musée fait référence au nom ladin du Kronplatz: Plan de Corones.
Exposition & vue
Au Messner Mountain Museum Corones, Reinhold Messner thématise l'alpinisme traditionnel et l'histoire de l'alpinisme. Des œuvres d'art, des pièces d'équipement et des citations racontent les grandes personnalités ainsi que les triomphes et les tragédies sur les montagnes les plus célèbres du monde.
Un peu en dessous du plateau du sommet se trouve un autre musée : le Lumen - Musée de la photographie de montagne. D'autres sites du Tyrol du Sud du projet Messner Mountain Museum se trouvent au château de Brunico, au château de Juval, au château de Sigmundskron et à Solda.
Tour en gondole ou randonnée
Différentes liaisons en téléphérique sont disponibles et vous emmènent directement au sommet de la magnifique montagne panoramique depuis St. Vigil, Riscone ou Valdaora. Vous pouvez également rejoindre le MMM Corones à pied. La randonnée dure environ 4-5 heures au départ de St. Vigil, de Riscone ou d'Valdaora.
