Château Tirol à Tirolo
Le château, qui abrite aujourd'hui le musée d'histoire régionale, est en très bon état. Son mur d'enceinte, construit dès l'an 1100, est l'un des plus anciens et des mieux conservés de tous les murs de fortification.
Les portails en marbre du 12e siècle, richement décorés de sculptures et de symboles, comptent également parmi les créations les plus originales de l'art roman au Tyrol. La chapelle abrite des fresques du 13e siècle, un groupe de crucifixion du 14e siècle ainsi que les plus anciens vitraux du Tyrol.
Le musée d'histoire culturelle et régionale ne s'occupe cependant pas uniquement du Moyen-Âge, mais se consacre également à l'histoire riche en événements du Tyrol du Sud et présente régulièrement des expositions spéciales intéressantes et changeantes.
