Château de Scena

Le château de Scena, situé dans la localité du même nom près de Merano, est aménagé de manière originale et vous donne un aperçu de la manière dont vivaient les comtes tyroliens d'autrefois.

Hôtels culturels dans le Tyrol du Sud

Le joli petit village de Scena, situé dans la région ensoleillée de Merano, est un véritable joyau culturel. Son attraction la plus importante est sans aucun doute le château de Scena, qui a été construit dès le milieu du 14e siècle.

Cette fière demeure a été construite par l'ancien burgrave du Tyrol, Petermann von Scena. Aujourd'hui, il abrite l'une des plus grandes collections privées d'armes de la région ainsi que la plus grande collection privée consacrée à la vie et à l'œuvre d'Andreas Hofer, le légendaire combattant tyrolien pour la liberté.

Le chemin qui mène au château de Scena n'est pas moins impressionnant que ses pièces d'exposition. L'imposant château est entouré d'un grand fossé qui est encore visible aujourd'hui. En passant par un beau pont ancien, on arrive à la porte d'entrée et on traverse les oubliettes du château avant d'atteindre la cour intérieure. Une cage d'escalier ouverte mène aux chambres du château, dont la plupart sont aménagées de manière originale.
