Reschensee Race

The athletes will run around Lake Reschen and therefore in front of a very particular natural scenery. The route is always the same and closed to traffic and partly on a cycle path along the shore.
The festivities already start the day before, on 12 July at 3 pm with the distribution of bibs, stalls with sports and craft products, a farmers' market, music and a party in the marquee.
Starting point and finish will be in the village Graun, which is famous for the historical church tower in the middle of the lake at an altitude of 1,450 m. The first section goes south to St. Valentin, where there is a view of the highest mountain in South Tyrol: the 3,905 m high Ortler. At the end of the reservoir, the runners must cross the dam and then continue on the opposite, partly shaded side to the valley station of the Belpiano ski resort. The route continues to the harbour area of Reschen. On the last section of the route, one can admire Lake Reschen with its historic church tower. The participants will start in age groups and different categories. During the race all runners will be provided with refreshments, in addition they get a start package.
If you don’t want to compete with other runners, you can participate in the “Just for Fun Race”. Moreover, there are separate competitions for Handbikers, passionate Nordic walkers and the apple run for children.
Registration for the 24th edition of the "Giro Lake Reschen" is open from 13.02.2024.
