Via ferrata Masaré-Rotwand
En effet, la via ferrata Masaré-Rotwand traverse la région unique du Rosengarten-Latemar et n'est pas trop difficile. Bien que la randonnée dure au total près de 7 heures, elle est classée comme moyennement difficile. Il faut donc avoir une bonne condition physique de base si l'on veut s'attaquer à cette via ferrata.
Description de l'itinéraire :
La vallée de la randonnée en montagne est le col du Karer dans les Dolomites. On prend le télésiège Paolina pour monter au refuge du même nom. De là, on suit le chemin 549 jusqu'au refuge Rotwand à 2.280 m. Ici, suivre les panneaux pour la via ferrata. Celle-ci est bien sécurisée et relativement courte. En une heure, on atteint la Punta Masaré (2.727 m). Une fois arrivé, la randonnée se poursuit sur des rochers et toujours sécurisée jusqu'au sommet du Rotwand, d'où l'on jouit d'une vue magnifique sur les montagnes environnantes.
Le retour se fait par l'arête nord sécurisée jusqu'au Passo Vajolon. Continuer sur le chemin 551 jusqu'au chemin 549, qui ramène les alpinistes au Passo Paolina.
