Welcome to the Residence Königsrainer

The Residence Königsrainer is located in St. Leonhard in Passeier, on the southern side of the Ötztal and Stubai Alps and not far from Meran. Embedded in a dreamlike mountain landscape of the Passeiertal Valley, you can enjoy relaxing peace and idyllic nature with marvellous views. The host family ensures a relaxed and family-friendly feel-good atmosphere with warm hospitality and attention to detail and is happy to provide tips for particularly beautiful hikes. The village centre with restaurants, cafés and shops is within easy walking distance.

Cosy ambience

The 12 apartments in the residence are cosy and comfortably furnished. They all have separate living rooms and bedrooms as well as a bathroom. Facilities include: a kitchenette with kitchen utensils, shower, hairdryer, safe, radio, satellite TV, telephone, free Wi-Fi and balcony or terrace. Our guests also have a children's play room and parking at their disposal. A rich breakfast buffet is available on request.

Mountain adventures & wellness pleasure

The traditional Passeiertal Valley is the perfect holiday destination for hikes or mountain bike tours in a wonderful mountain world. After an active day in the mountains, you can relax in our wellness area with a small indoor pool, sauna, infrared cabin, steam bath, solarium and unique panoramic views. Our guests receive the South Tyrol Guest Pass Passeiertal Premium free of charge: with this guest card you enjoy free travel on regional public transport throughout South Tyrol, free admission to around 70 museums, free admission to 2 outdoor swimming pools and other benefits.

Beautiful and welcoming residence
Spacious, clean, and comfortable apartment.
Pool and sauna service included, very kind and helpful owner.
Strategic location, convenient to everything.
Plus: they also provide a pass for local museums and transportation (including trains), which is included in the tourist tax.
I parked on arrival and never used the car again.
Everything was really convenient!
Highly recommended.

We stayed here for the second time, spending 15 days, and it was simply wonderful. Once again, we had the clean and spacious apartment with a large balcony and a beautiful view of the Passeier Valley. The Königsrainer family was as friendly as ever, and Mr. Königsrainer always gives us good, new tips about where to eat or where to go hiking. The Residence Königsrainer is still highly recommended. We'd love to come back.

This was our second time at the Residence Königsrainer, and it certainly won't be the last. The apartments are superb and beautifully furnished, with everything you need. The Königsrainers are welcoming hosts and always have good tips. The wellness area is lovely, with a sauna, steam bath, infrared cabin, and an indoor pool with a bubble system. Restaurants, cafés, supermarkets, and bakeries are within walking distance. Martl and Brückenwirt (with their own beer) serve excellent pizza. The location is right on the Jaufenstraße road, making it an ideal starting point for excursions to the Jaufen area, the Timmelsjoch pass, Plan, or Merano. You can reach almost everything by bus, although the buses are often very crowded. St. Leonhard also has a lovely outdoor pool, and the Sandwirt, where Andreas Hofer's birthplace is located, can be reached with a lovely walk along the Passer River. There is a lovely inn and a lovingly designed museum that tells the story of Andreas Hofer.

It was a very nice vacation at the Residence Königsrainer. You immediately feel at home in the accommodation. We also made use of the wellness area. We also really liked St. Leonhard. It was very convenient that they included a free museumobil card. The bus station is just a few minutes' walk away. From there, you can easily reach Merano and other places by bus.

I stayed at this property for 10 days with my family. The residence is in a great location near the center of San Leonardo. The owner is very kind and always available. The apartment we were assigned was a two-bedroom apartment with a large terrace, simply but pleasantly furnished and equipped with everything you need. I was a little concerned about the kitchen only having two electric burners for cooking, but I was quickly reconsidered. Perhaps the only small flaw is the windowless bathroom, but for a few days, that's fine. The property also has a small relaxation area with a hot tub, sauna, and Turkish bath. Overall, it's an excellent option for a vacation in the Passiria Valley, especially considering the quality/price ratio.

This is our second time staying at the Königsrainer house. We felt very comfortable with the very accommodating owners and enjoyed a south-facing apartment with excellent amenities and a fantastic view of the valley.

Spent 16 great days there! Clean apartment with a great view, including guest card for use of public transport and museums. If something is missing from the apartments, it will be taken care of immediately. Towel change twice a week!

For a one-off (!!) 25€ you get entry to the outdoor pool for the entire stay, which is beautiful, never full and a dream for children.
Good starting point for hikes. To Meran, Schenna, Dort Tyrol about 25-30 minutes by car.
We were there for the 7th time in 2 years - and we'll be back...
