The rooms and suites, some crafted from precious Swiss stone pine, offer elegant settings and a warm, rejuvenating atmosphere. The wellness area includes heated indoor and outdoor pools, a Finnish sauna, an outdoor panoramic sauna, a steam bath, a Luis Trenker infrared cabin, and modern relaxation zones with nature views. The kitchen at the Magdalenahof pays particular attention to regional, seasonal, and healthy ingredients, offering gourmet dishes that enhance local tradition and sustainable nutrition. Wellness treatments also utilise natural, local products.

Hiking, skiing & active holidays

Hiking trails, snowshoeing routes, and ski tours through the nature of Gsieser Tal start directly from the Magdalenahof. Three times a week, the owner personally accompanies guests to local Alpine huts and peaks, providing authentic mountain experiences. In winter, the ski lift is located directly in front of the hotel, while the 42 km cross-country trail starts nearby. Guests also enjoy free hire of skis, cross-country skis, and toboggans, as well as the South Tyrol Guest Pass for convenient public transport and sustainable exploration of the region.

Wunderschönes Hotel am Ende des Gsiesertals mit einzigartiger Lage! Wandern direkt vom Hotel aus, Auto kann man stehen lassen. Herzliches Hotel wird von der Gastgeber Familie Burger geführt (alle arbeiten mit) man fühlt sich wie zu Hause obwohl wir erst das erste mal dort waren. Schöner Spa Berich mit schöner panoramaaussensauna, schöne Suiten (Gartensuite ein Traum) und das Highlight ausgezeichnete Küche!!!

Helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff Breakfast and dinner were top-notch: plentiful, rich, varied, and fresh. A special mention goes to the chef, who we've given 3 Michelin stars. The flavor and creativity of the dishes are spectacular. The spa is nice and functional. The pool is standard, but not for swimming. I recommend a separate hot tub, separate from the pool and more functional. The gym is well-stocked and spotlessly clean. A wonderful weekend getaway from the city.

First time at this property. The bar and relaxation area is lovely, with sofas, armchairs, and tables... all embellished with a double-sided open fireplace and a lovely aquarium (board games and cards are also available). Three rooms of varying sizes are available for breakfast and dinner. A lovely wellness area with saunas, pools (an indoor one connected to an outdoor one), a Turkish bath, and a quiet area. There's also a small children's play area.

My family and I once again found this hotel to be a truly excellent place to stay, with excellent hospitality, efficiency, and quality: from breakfast to dinner, everything was always amazing, and from the gym to the sauna, everything was perfect for staying in shape. The staff were attentive and friendly. It once again proved to be our favorite hotel.

We've stayed at Hotel Magdalenahof several times and love coming back. The hotel is located at the end of the valley, so you can start many tours directly from the hotel in both summer and winter, without needing a car. In summer, you can also enjoy fantastic bike rides to the alpine pastures. It's a truly beautiful area. The hotel itself offers everything you need. The staff are all incredibly friendly and welcoming. You can immediately feel the family and personal atmosphere. We're both vegetarians and have always been offered delicious alternatives; the food alone (both breakfast and dinner) is worth the trip! ;) The rooms and the spa area are also top-notch. In short, it's a wonderful, family-run hotel in a beautiful location that we would gladly visit anytime and wholeheartedly recommend.

Wonderful experience! We stayed at this hotel for 3 days and had a great time. The food was delicious, the services were extremely helpful, and the room was spacious and very clean. Highly recommended!

What can I say? A truly warm and welcoming hotel, very beautiful and well-maintained. The staff were incredibly kind and professional, always smiling. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the dinner was absolutely superb! The services were always top-notch: saunas, Turkish bath, relaxation areas, gym, and pool. Their complimentary afternoon snack was practically a good lunch. Not to mention the hotel's picture-perfect location! Everything was absolutely superb. We were greeted and said goodbye with delightful smiles. You immediately feel nostalgic. Everything was beautiful.

The Magdalenahof is perfectly located for those seeking relaxation and nature: nestled in the beautiful Casies Valley, next to a stream and embraced by the mountains, it seems straight out of a painting. Just 30 minutes from Lake Braies and about 30 from Lake Dobbiaco, the Tre Cime di Lavaredo are also very close. The property is impeccably managed by the Burger family, who offers a warm welcome and excellent organization: excursions, trekking routes, and many highly recommended activities. The rooms are always spotless; the spa is modern yet very quaint, well-maintained, with herbal teas and flavored waters always available, quiet relaxation areas, saunas, and a heated indoor and outdoor pool with a view. The service in the dining room and at the bar is truly exceptional: kindness, professionalism, punctuality, and great attention, always with a smile. The gourmet cuisine is another strong point: refined, ever-changing dishes, carefully presented, and made with locally sourced ingredients. The combinations are surprising and well-executed. And what about breakfast? TOP! A generous buffet, both sweet and savory, for all tastes! Surprisingly, the afternoon snack was a nod to tradition, beautifully executed. Thank you for the wonderful holiday you helped make unique! Five full stars. We'll definitely be back!

Pure well-being and relaxation in the wonderfully peaceful Casies Valley at the magnificent Hotel Magdalenahof. We spent a wonderful and active week in September 2025 at the Burger family's hotel. We were absolutely thrilled. It started with the warm welcome and the uncomplicated self-check-in beforehand. The room is large and very comfortable. The lounge area for breakfast, afternoon snacks, and dinner offers a beautiful view of the surrounding valley and the impressive mountains. The food: We've rarely eaten such delicious, fresh, and mouth-watering meals! Fantastic! And the service and interactions with the staff were always very, very warm and always accompanied by a friendly smile. We also fell in love with the spa area with its fantastic panoramic sauna and the incredibly cool sauna cool-off in the Casies stream. The massages were easy and quick to book and were truly soothing! The hotel's location at the end of the Casies Valley is simply perfect for all kinds of tours. The dream of a "park your car and never use it again" vacation can definitely be fulfilled! There are certainly a few more great things to list, but the best way to experience them is to stay with the Burger family at Magdalenahof! Our verdict: 6 out of 5 stars! A truly wonderful stay! We'll definitely be back!
