Sarntal invites gourmets from the whole South Tyrol and beyond to enjoy the Morgreti gastronomic week, a week full of delightful culinary highlights every year at the beginning of July!
But, Morgreti, what does this word mean? Morgreti derives from Margaret Day, an important day in the South Tyrolean farmer's calendar at the beginning of July. St. Margaret is the patron saint of farmers. In Sarntal this is already reason enough to invite to specialty week called “Sarnar Morgreti Essn”.
This year, several local restaurants participate again in the Morgreti gastronomic week. They will spoil you with original dishes like Oufnar, Striezl, Türkenmus or Broutar or with creative variations of the South Tyrolean and Mediterranean cuisine.
