Oberbacherhof

The Oberbacherhof is situated at an altitude of around 1,350 m in Mühlbach, above Gais, and is surrounded by unspoilt mountain scenery featuring meadows, forests and alpine pastures. The farm has been family-owned for centuries, although the buildings were rebuilt a few years ago. The peaceful, secluded location provides the perfect setting for a relaxing break close to nature.

The two apartments vary in size and perfectly combine modern comfort with alpine cosiness. They are tastefully furnished with Swiss stone pine and other natural materials, and feature free Wi-Fi, satellite TV, a well-equipped kitchen-diner, and a bathroom with a shower, toilet and bidet. As a working farm with livestock, the property offers an insight into farming practices and daily life on the farm. In summer, the cows graze on the farm’s own alpine pasture.

The location above Gais offers direct access to walks and mountain hikes. Mountain bike trails also start in the surrounding area. In winter, toboggan runs and ski tours beckon. Guests at the Oberbacherhof can hire rucksacks, walking poles and toboggans. The Kronplatz and Speikboden ski areas are each around 15 km away, and the town of Bruneck is approximately 16 km away. The Kronplatz Guest Pass is included in the accommodation price and offers free travel on regional public transport throughout South Tyrol and further benefits.
