Hotel Am Sonneck***S is an oasis of calm, situated on the edge of orchards in a sunny location. From our family-run hotel, you can enjoy a fantastic panoramic view of the spa town of Meran and the surrounding mountains. The unique peaks of the Texel Group Nature Park seem close enough to touch. We offer our guests lovingly furnished and comfortably equipped rooms and suites as well as a familiar and warm feel-good atmosphere.

You can relax in our wellness oasis with Finnish sauna, organic herb sauna, steam bath with fine marble, infrared cabin, panoramic relaxation room, bucket shower, heated whirlpool on the open-air terrace or on the sunny lawn with solar-heated outdoor swimming pool. Massages are also available on request. The day at the Hotel Am Sonneck in Algund begins with a hearty breakfast buffet with a magnificent view. In the evening, we spoil you with a salad and starter buffet as well as a delicious 4-course menu with Tyrolean specialities and Mediterranean delicacies.

Active Holidays for the whole Family

You can set off on hikes, bike tours and excursions directly from the Hotel Am Sonneck. Tips and hiking suggestions are available from your hosts and in the hiking information corner of our guest library. We also offer group hiking tours and free rental of rucksacks and hiking poles. Our guests receive the AlgundCard, which entitles them to free travel on regional public transport throughout South Tyrol and selected cable cars.

The perfect place to get away from it all and enjoy some peace and quiet. The cuisine is amazing, varied, and creative. The spa is much more beautiful than it looked in the photos: two saunas, a Turkish bath, and an outdoor hot tub under the stars: a dream!

We stayed at this property for three days and had a wonderful time. The location is quiet and well-maintained. The hotel's strong points are the quality food and wellness center, and the helpful staff. Merano city center is easily accessible by public transport, even on foot.

Located at the upper end of Oberplars, above Algund. Perfect for starting hikes and bike tours (e-bikes recommended, as there are inclines in all directions). Family-run hotel with all amenities (pool, wellness area) and sensational cuisine.

A very nice hotel, top-notch service, and fantastic staff. Excellent food, a large breakfast selection, delicious rolls, and everything your heart desires. The evening menus are very varied. A family-friendly and hospitable atmosphere. Large, beautiful rooms, a fine wellness area, and a lovely outdoor pool. Great location with a view over the lake. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel, so you can leave your car parked even when you're on a trip to Bolzano or Merano. Beautiful hikes can be started directly from the hotel. We felt completely at home!

I stayed at the hotel with the Patrik Wolf family, and we were very impressed. The service was very friendly; there was a salad buffet for dinner and a breakfast buffet every day. Dinner included a salad buffet, a soup, an appetizer, and a choice of two main courses. There was also always a good dessert. The rooms were very clean, there was excellent drinking water, a balcony, a working TV, and working Wi-Fi. The hotel is in a good location where it is very quiet. There were many activities outside the hotel, such as various hikes and irrigation canal paths. There was a shopping center and a supermarket near the hotel. They also provided bus tickets for the buses, which depart regularly from outside the hotel. The hotel was very good, and I will remember it for a long time. Best regards, The Patrik Wolf family

We stayed at the Sonneck last week during our holiday. It's in a great location, the food is fantastic, and the staff is very friendly. I can highly recommend it. Everything was perfect!

We spent a week's vacation here and were reluctant to leave! It was simply perfect! The hotel's location is ideal for hiking or cycling. Our room with a balcony was very clean and had a fantastic view of the city of Merano – especially in the evenings, the view was amazing! The incredibly friendly staff, always with a smile, deserve special mention. The food was simply divine – we've never eaten so well. The spa area and pool are very inviting and well-maintained. Everything is just perfect! There's absolutely nothing to criticize. I highly recommend a stay at this wonderful hotel, where everything is just right.

Een mooi hotel, schitterend gelegen, goed bereikbaar, midden in de fruitteelt. Warme sfeer, vriendelijk onthaal. De kamers zijn mooi, en worden goed gereinigd De maaltijden zijn uitgebreid, vers en superlekker. De bediening is uitstekend. Het zwembad geeft een mooie verfrissing na de wandelingen
