Welcome to THALGUTER in Algund near Meran

In a quiet and sunny location in Algund with panoramic views of Meran, THALGUTER | ROOMS & BREAKFAST offers a flexible and relaxed holiday home – surrounded by orchards and close to the mountains and the city. You can choose between rooms with breakfast and apartments, where you can optionally book the breakfast buffet. All accommodation categories have a balcony or terrace and a minibar or refrigerator.

Hideaway with Feel-good Comfort

Our indoor pool and organic herbal textile sauna with relaxation area invite you to relax, and our garden is a green oasis with sun loungers, parasols and an outdoor shower. Practical: a wellness bag with bathrobe and towels is available for our guests. The bar at THALGUTER is open from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., and host Philipp is happy to recommend restaurants for an enjoyable lunch or dinner in the surrounding area.

A varied selection of activities

Algund is the perfect starting point for hikes in the Texel Group Nature Park and walks along the Waalwege trails, for cycling tours along the Etsch River and mountain bike tours in the alpine mountains. Even more holiday experiences await in the nearby spa town of Meran. The services at THALGUTER include on-site parking, a video-monitored bicycle garage with workshop and charging facilities, and the South Tyrol Guest Pass Algund, which grants free travel on regional public transport throughout South Tyrol and on selected cable cars.

We had a wonderful short break at the Thalguter! We were able to start our arrival day with breakfast, and our room was already prepared. From the warm welcome and friendly service to the helpful tips for excursions, everything was always done with attention and a smile. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired, the spa area is inviting and relaxing, and the room is spacious with a balcony and a beautiful view. The location is ideal for hikes directly from the hotel or from one of the nearby cable cars, or even for a stroll to Merano. Supermarkets and restaurants are in the immediate vicinity. All in all, it was a fantastic stay, and we will definitely be back!

A family-friendly atmosphere with all the benefits of impeccable organization: squaring the circle. A very refined atmosphere without that intimidating exclusivity. Everything is spotless, well-organized, and the staff is attentive and friendly; it's hard to find fault. To find fault: the bathroom lacks a bidet (as is often the case in these parts), despite many years of honorable service, but perfectly clean and efficient. The pool and sauna are remarkable. The breakfast... simply fantastic. If we ever return to this area, this will definitely be the first place we'll consider.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights for work. The rooms were large, comfortable, and very clean. Parking was free, and the pool and sauna were included in the price. The breakfast was amazing, and it's hard to beat it.

Truly a beautiful hotel with exceptional value, located just outside the center of Lagundo, surrounded by orchards and far from the hustle and bustle. Rooms are just the right size, spotlessly clean, and the modern bathroom is fully equipped. A special breakfast with fresh, authentic ingredients is served by friendly, helpful staff. The heated indoor pool is truly a relaxing oasis after a day exploring the area. My only complaint is that the sauna is a bit too cold; 5-10 degrees warmer would be perfect.

Clean rooms, great location with a fantastic view. Super friendly staff and a lovely spa area. The swimming pool has great opening hours, and the sauna is also open at convenient times. The breakfast is delicious, with something for everyone. There's also a bike storage room.

The apartment is very nice and spacious! The bathroom is large and clean! Everything is very clean, by the way. The pool isn't too big, warm, and beautifully situated with a view of the beautiful garden! There's also a sauna, but it's for a maximum of four people and, at 60-70 degrees Celsius, it's not too hot, so it might be suitable for children! The breakfast was wonderful. Very extensive, high-quality products, everything delicious, especially the egg options. Fried or scrambled eggs are freshly prepared for each guest separately—amazing!
