Welcome to Appartements Kerschbaumer

Our Appartements Kerschbaumer are located on a sunny slope, only 1km from the village centre and close to the Chestnut Trail. Surrounded by chestnut trees, orchards and a natural landscape, they are a perfect place for a relaxing holiday in harmony with nature. Moreover, from our house you can enjoy a wonderful view over the Eisacktal valley and imposant Dolomite peaks.

Holidays with a view, sauna & garden

We offer five apartments for two to five guests, which are cosy and furnished in rustic style. The apartments have a fully equipped kitchen-cum-living room, a bathroom with shower and toilet, satellite TV and a terrace or a garden with table and chairs. Furthermore, our house provides a small but comfortable sauna, which is perfect for concluding an active day. You can take fresh herbs and salad from our kitchen garden or (for a fee) drinks from our cellar at any time.

Discovery tours in every season

The sunny village Feldthurns and environs offer countless possibilities for hikes or mountain bike tours. In winter, there are three skiing areas in surroundings or you can use our free snowshoe rental. The picturesque town Klausen and the bishop’s town Brixen are always worth a visit.

Great views, newly renovated and very clean apartments. Extremely hospitable and helpful host family. Quiet location. Guests have access to the private herb garden. The kitchen equipment could be improved slightly, depending on whether you plan to cook more extensively. However, a solid basic set is provided, hence full marks. The apartment is ideally located if you want to reach Brixen, Bolzano, Kastelruth, or Seiser Alm in less than 30 minutes while still enjoying a peaceful, nature-oriented stay.

We spent a week in August 2026 at this fantastic location, and the Dolomietenblick apartment is amazing. To our surprise, it had been completely renovated. It is fully equipped with every luxury and offers great comfort. The owners are very nice, and the apartment is very clean. The view is breathtakingly beautiful, and the balcony offers a lovely place to sit and eat. Fresh vegetables from their own vegetable garden were regularly available. From Feldturns, you can take many different day trips. Brixen is a beautiful city to visit. The Val di Funes is a half-hour drive away, where you can take fantastic walks towards Geissler/Odle, but the area towards Lafons is also beautiful for hiking. We walked to the Klausnerhütte from Kühuf, where there is ample parking. In short, a fantastic holiday destination that we would love to return to.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the "Ploseblick" apartment with the Kerschbaumer family. Andreas was incredibly welcoming, gave us a warm welcome, and provided some fantastic tips for exploring the surrounding area. The view from the terrace was breathtaking, and we loved spending time there. The apartment itself is well-equipped and clean. We had everything we needed and highly recommend a stay with the Kerschbaumers!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with the Kerschbaumers. The accommodation is cozy, and even our "Chestnut View" apartment, despite not having a mountain view, surprised us with a lovely partial mountain panorama and its idyllic location! Since we were traveling without a car but still wanted to explore, the bus service to Brixen and Klausen from morning till night was fantastic. Even when we were celebrating New Year's Eve in the city, it was no problem getting a taxi from Brixen to Feldthurns. The free shuttles for hiking and skiing are also a great feature. And the absolute highlight, of course, is the sauna, which can be used privately after booking. Stepping out of the sauna after a long day in the Dolomites and enjoying the view of the Geisler peaks: no wellness hotel could offer a better experience. We wholeheartedly recommend these apartments – especially for travelers without a car. And the homemade wine was excellent too! Best regards, Rico and Max
