Hotel am Fels is located in the beautiful and famous Schnalstal Valley. The beauty of the wild mountains and landscapes in the surroundings will leave you breathless! After a day full of action and fun outside you can relax in our comfortable and spacious rooms and apartments (Apartments “Am Wegkreuz”, about 100 m from the hotel). Our friendly service and the pleasant ambience of our house will make your holidays to an unforgettable experience.

In the morning, we spoil you with a rich breakfast buffet with fresh, local products. At dinner, you can enjoy our menu selection with delicious South Tyrolean dishes and a buffet with fresh salads. Our indoor pool, the sunbathing lawn and the sun terrace guarantee relaxation and regeneration for enjoyable moments outdoors. A sauna and a table tennis room are also at your disposal.

Staying here from September 16th to 20th was a wonderful experience. Heartfelt thanks to the family for their extraordinary kindness, attention to detail, and warm welcome. An oasis of tranquility and elegance in the heart of the Val Senales. Highly recommended!

A lovely family-run hotel in Katharinaberg with a fantastic location, very friendly staff, and hosts offering outstanding cuisine.

A great starting point for tours in the Vinschgau Valley and South Tyrol. You'll feel right at home here.

I stayed at this property for the week of August 15th with my large family. We had a wonderful time! A welcoming, quiet, family-run hotel with staff who were always available, discreet, and attentive. Excellent relaxation area, excellent cuisine, and spacious, new rooms. Special thanks to Kristof for his excursion suggestions!

Simply wonderful. This hotel, run with great passion, is in a fantastic location and offers everything you could wish for. A sauna, a table tennis room, and a small swimming pool in the basement help to refresh limbs that might be a little tired after hiking. The rooms are cozy and spacious, and the balcony offers a wonderful view of the magnificent mountain landscape.

The food is good to very good, and the staff is incredibly attentive and always exceptionally friendly. We have now stayed here three times and feel very comfortable, and we plan to return again and again.

We booked at short notice, the room was great and modern, then we extended our stay and therefore had to move. The room was totally outdated, dark, and very noisy (room 12).

We stayed at the end of July 2026: the family-run hotel stands out for its attentive service, kindness, and perfect rooms. Kristof and Sara are always available and ready to accommodate even menu changes or alternative suggestions.
Both the rooms and the spa area are brand new. It is located at the top of the small Val Senales, in a very quiet area. We were very satisfied.

Welcoming, spotlessly clean hotel, large, modern rooms, all with private balconies, and high quality. The owners are truly kind, courteous, and friendly. The new spa area is beautiful, with a sauna, Turkish bath, relaxation area, pool, and outdoor solarium with mountain views.  Highly recommended! It's located halfway up the Senales Valley, with all the hiking trails within easy reach.
