Hotel am Fels is located in the beautiful and famous Schnalstal Valley. The beauty of the wild mountains and landscapes in the surroundings will leave you breathless! We stayed at the Hotel Am Fels for the first time over the past two weeks, and it was a pleasant surprise, one we highly recommend and hope to experience again. The hotel is charming and nestled in an equally enchanting landscape. The atmosphere is relaxed and peaceful, and the owners, as well as the entire staff, are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The rooms, comfortable and very clean—like every corner of the hotel—welcome with a pleasant scent of wood. The cuisine, delicious, is varied and able to satisfy every taste (and the portions are generous!). The wellness area is relaxing even just looking at it! The hotel is conveniently located: practically opposite the bus stop, which quickly connects you to several interesting towns in the Val Senales and Val Venosta. Several trails suitable for walking of all types and levels of difficulty also branch off nearby. Monte Santa Caterina lacks only a shop for small purchases, but it is easily reached by public transport. On the other hand, in this little corner of paradise you can breathe in the peace of a daily life marked by a more human pace: priceless. A true joy for the heart.

First time staying at this hotel. Excellent location, very clean, excellent food. I booked the rooms on the top floor, which are the cheapest, but I must say they were well-maintained and comfortable. Furthermore, the large pool, sauna, and Turkish bath are always included. It's worth noting that just 30 meters from the hotel is the famous Konditorei Pasticceria Weithaler, which makes excellent strudels and other not-to-be-missed pastries.

We have been guests at the hotel for a week and felt very comfortable. There is nothing negative to report. A small village perched on a rocky peak, high above the Schnalstal Valley. Right at the entrance to the village is this somewhat older hotel, which has been recently renovated in many areas. Our room was newly renovated except for the door with key and the windows. Very tastefully decorated with solid wood and a new bathroom with underfloor heating. Great ambient lighting. The bus stop is within sight of the church, so you can get anywhere early. There is always one bus going downhill towards Merano and the other up to Kurzras. The highlight, however, remains the friendliness of the hotel owners and family. A beautiful family business with three generations. The superb food is also first-class. Both breakfast and the four-course evening menu are exceptionally good. There is a wide variety of food to choose from. There are a few other great things about the hotel, but it's best to find out for yourself.

I wanted to return to Val Senales after 48 years (I'd been there as a teenager...) and I relied on the South Tyrol booking website. I was particularly fortunate because the Hotel am Fels was a perfect choice: a new, clean hotel with a perfect spa (pool, sauna, Turkish bath, relaxation area, and herbal tea corner) and a dinner featuring authentic South Tyrolean flavors. My daughter and I (we had to leave our wife/mother at work...) stayed in room 10, with a balcony. It was very large and immaculately furnished (the scent of wood as soon as we entered was wonderful...). The family management adds a touch of underlying serenity that I was completely satisfied with.

We had a cozy little apartment with everything you need for a vacation: great views, a large balcony, comfortable beds... The friendly hosts were always there to help and advise us on any questions or problems we had. The very quiet location is ideal for hikers, not far from the Merano High Trail.

Ideal, and even had storms, but the hotel was top-notch. The boys also stayed calm and enjoyed being safe. Everything was perfect. Oops, we hadn't ordered any food. Nevertheless, we enjoyed dinner, and... I say... more than top-notch, every restaurant could take a leaf out of its book. We had the best potato soup ever, the best steak, and to finish off, the dessert was a dream of DELIGHT! THANK YOU
