Welcome to the Molaris Lodges in Mühlbach

Our family-run Molaris Lodges**** are in a quiet and sunny location, just 5 minutes on foot from the village centre of Mühlbach. The hotel has always delighted guests with warm hospitality and comfort, but after the renovation we offer even more. All our rooms and suites are feel-good spaces with wooden floors, beautiful fabrics, balcony or loggia, and the right mix of style and cosiness. The rooms and suites are equipped with a double bed, bathroom with shower/WC, washbasin, hairdryer, make-up mirror and care accessories as well as a desk, telephone, free Wi-Fi, safe, minibar, flat screen TV and a wellness bag with bathrobe and sauna towel. In addition, the suites offer a sofa bed and the family suites a separate sleeping area for children with a bunk bed. The suites also have air conditioning. Parking spaces, a ski depot, a bike garage and charging stations for e-cars are available for our guests, too.

Molaris Spa & regional cuisine

Our Molaris Spa invites you to take some relaxing time out: The spacious wellness area includes a heated outdoor pool with sunbathing lawn, a panoramic pool with sky sun terrace, a whirlpool, various saunas (including a family panorama sauna), steam bath, experience showers and a beauty area. Children will enjoy the playroom and the outdoor playground. We also spoil you in culinary terms: Thanks to our varied breakfast buffet, you will always have a good start into the day. In the afternoon, you can enjoy homemade sweets, savoury treats and fresh fruit. The highlight of our three-quarter pension is the 5-course evening menu for gourmets. Look forward to delicious combinations of traditional South Tyrolean cuisine and Mediterranean treats, prepared with mainly regional and seasonal ingredients.

Active holidays at any season

The mountain world around the Molaris Lodges is a paradise for active holidaymakers: The Gitschberg Jochtal alpine region offers a great variety of hiking trails. The Dolomites are also within reach. In winter, the Gitschberg Jochtal skiing area offers fun on the slopes, cross-country trails and toboggan runs. In the summer, our guests receive the Almencard PLUS. With this advantage card, you can use public transport in the region for free, visit around 80 museums and enjoy other benefits and discounts.

Our stay at Molaris Lodges was simply wonderful! The rooms are modern, cozy, and decorated with great attention to detail. The breakfast is excellent, and the entire team is incredibly warm and attentive. Perfect for relaxing and feeling at ease – highly recommended! We will definitely be back!

The renovated facility is beautiful and elegant. My favorite parts were the spa and the outdoor pool, which were truly well-equipped and ideal for relaxing. Our room was spacious and clean; the only flaw was that the bathroom toiletries hadn't been updated; some items were missing. Dinner could be improved, both for some of the ingredients on the plate that weren't listed on the menu, and for the service: it would have been nice to have a smile from the young woman serving us. Breakfast was beautifully presented, but unfortunately, I found the toast bread stale. It would also have been nice to have some freshly made sweet breakfast options, like omelets. All in all, I'd come back!

The hotel is very beautiful, the restaurant excellent, and the bartender super friendly and nice. The waitress who served us was always very kind. The room was very nice, as was the view. However, we expected the water in the pools (both outdoor and indoor) to be hot, but instead it was lukewarm and not very pleasant to be in. The saunas were nice, but we expected a little more, especially since the capacity is limited and there were so many people. The snack buffet, and often even the evening dessert, were leftovers. The initiative to avoid wasting food is very positive, but in my opinion it should be less obvious. As for room cleaning, it was superficial, as was the cleaning of the shower and beds, and the spa bathrobes, even though we left them on the floor (as requested on the note in the bathroom), were not changed. One problem we encountered was that it was hard to sleep in the morning, as the cleaning ladies made a lot of noise in the other rooms.

Overall, I was satisfied with the Hotel Molaris. The decor, the room, and the spa area are truly beautiful and well-maintained – ideal for spending a few relaxing days. Special praise goes to the bartender in the evening, who was by far the friendliest member of staff during my stay. However, I found the service at afternoon tea and dinner less than ideal. Both the waitress and especially the waiter unfortunately came across as very cold and unfriendly towards the guests. In my opinion, such an attitude is not well-suited to the hospitality industry – a shame, as it somewhat detracted from the overall experience. Nevertheless, I would still recommend the hotel – especially for guests who want to stay overnight, have breakfast, and use the spa area. Personally, I would prefer to enjoy the 3/4 board or dinner elsewhere, not because of the quality of the food, but because of the friendliness of the service.

Clean and organized, very spacious rooms, plenty of options for services. The only flaw is the portions of food at dinner, which are truly excessively small.

We spent two nights at the Molaris Lodge and had a thoroughly positive stay. As a hotel manager myself, I pay particular attention to detail, and I was pleased to see how well the hotel is managed. The entire hotel boasts a harmonious and appealing design. Our room was also very nice, offered a great view, and, like the entire hotel, was very clean. The culinary offerings as part of the three-quarter board package deserve special mention. The food was high-quality, varied, and well-presented. We also enjoyed the wellness area. It was clean, quiet, and offered a relaxed atmosphere that invited you to linger. The most important aspect for us, however, was the service. All the staff we encountered—whether at the reception, in the restaurant, or in housekeeping—were friendly and helpful. Special requests were noted and implemented promptly. We greatly appreciated the attentive and uncomplicated manner of the staff. In summary, the Molaris Lodge offers a high standard, and we felt very comfortable. A hotel that we can recommend with a clear conscience.

A truly beautiful hotel, excellent service, superb dinners, excellent buffets, and excellent breakfasts. The relaxation areas are well-equipped, including the family-friendly spa area. I highly recommend it.
