Welcome to Wohlfühlhotel Mei Auszeit

The feel-good hotel Mei Auszeit in Plaus is situated in a quiet location between Naturns and Meran. A warm host family and a well-coordinated team create a welcoming and harmonious atmosphere in which our guests can enjoy a relaxing holiday. From the hotel bar to the breakfast terrace, from the "Stuben" to the dining room, there are plenty of cosy places to sit. All rooms and suites are cosy and furnished with attention to detail and have a balcony.

Relaxing and delightful

The wellness vitality garden at the Wohlfühlhotel Mei Auszeit with its solar-heated outdoor saltwater pool, whirlpool and barrel sauna is a lovely place to relax. Our indoor wellness oasis with Finnish sauna, Turkish steam bath, infrared cabin and relaxation room is available to guests aged 15 and over. Our panoramic winter garden, fitness room and massages round off our wellness programme. We spoil you with culinary delights in the morning with a rich organic vitality breakfast buffet and in the evening with a 4-course gourmet menu with salad and vegetable buffet. The kitchen and bar are only closed on Thursday evenings.

Active and mobile

The Venosta Valley, Meran and environs are wonderful to explore on hiking and biking tours. The cycle path along the Via Claudia Augusta passes very close to the feel-good hotel Mei Auszeit, and our partner Ötzi Bike offers guided bike tours and bike rental. Our hotel also has a bike depot with charging facilities for e-bikes and 3 charging stations for e-cars. The Vinschgau railway stop is just a few minutes' walk away and the South Tyrol Guest Pass, which our guests receive free of charge, gives you free travel on regional public transport throughout South Tyrol.

An unforgettable week at "Mei Auszeit"! Super friendly staff, perfect service! Even when the dining room is full, you're served one course after the other quickly. The two ladies and the gentleman serving the food exude absolute calm. As a guest, you don't feel rushed, even when every table is occupied and there's obviously no time to "catch your breath" :-)... All three are extremely friendly and attentive, and even though they say thank you, please, and "you're welcome" a hundred times every day, and wish you a nice day, it never feels routine, but rather heartfelt. The breakfast offers the finest ingredients and leaves nothing to be desired, unless you absolutely need a bratwurst first thing in the morning, as is apparently the case in some hotels. The four-course dinner can't be topped. 5 stars for absolutely high-quality and perfectly prepared dishes, presented with attention to detail. The ladies who keep the rooms clean are busy bees, briskly buzzing through the hallways with enthusiasm and even finding time for a cheerful morning greeting to guests! It's rare to find so many great staff in one place. Not to mention the friendly manager, the representative Miriam, and the manager of the house, who have a kind word for every guest. You feel very welcome. The fresh at the reception and the delicious welcome drink are the icing on the cake. We couldn't see or use the wellness area because of the nice weather. Where else can you find such dedicated hoteliers who cultivate this warm hospitality with so much hard work and commitment? This hotel truly stands out from the crowd. A warm welcome and friendly staff throughout. Everything is impeccably maintained. Large rooms with good bathrooms. Comfortable beds. Parking. Pool. Etc. Breakfast and the restaurant are excellent. We and our friends felt very comfortable. Highly recommended.

A wonderful family hotel with great, clean rooms, excellent food, and extremely friendly staff and hosts, inviting you to linger and relax. We'd love to come back, because the name says it all. Thank you so much for an unforgettable time.

We had absolute peace and quiet and a fantastic view in the Jonas Suite! The saunas, garden, and food were also very good. Friendly and helpful, and the hotel's location is also very good. My husband liked the shower cap for the rain shower, slippers, and bathrobe. Pillows are very uncomfortable. We both really struggled with them. The massage therapist was okay, but there's a lot of room for improvement. Dimmed lighting and chill-out lounge music would have been much more pleasant at dinner than the radio. More fresh vegetables, herbs, poultry, and fish to choose from would also be very contemporary. Oh, our tablecloth had a pretty large hole. Unfortunately, it wasn't replaced.

We were absolutely thrilled with our stay at this small hotel! The food was fantastic and left nothing to be desired. The particularly warm and welcoming atmosphere made the stay perfect for us, with three generations. Everyone was warmly welcomed. The bike storage room is well-equipped. The proximity to the train station is fantastic. This meant we were able to do all the hikes without a car. We will definitely be back!"

A lovely little hotel with excellent public transport connections for exploring Merano and the surrounding area. A lovely pool and a pleasant little wellness area. The food and service were also very good.

Arrive and feel at home: The small hotel "Mei Auszeit" rightfully bears the nickname "feel-good hotel." Owner Nadja and her team are always friendly and helpful. The evening menu is sensational. And the location is fantastic: directly on the Adige cycle path, it's only 13 km by bike to Merano.

I don't think I have much to say other than that it was a perfect vacation! Before leaving, I was a little skeptical because everything I'd been told over the phone or by email seemed so perfect, I almost thought the hotel wouldn't be there! Then, when I went in person, I really understood that this family does everything they can to make your vacation unforgettable... They work with heart, they don't bullshit people with prices, and they do everything they can to ensure maximum comfort for their guests... The food was amazing. The chef, Nadia's husband, was fantastic with his super simple yet exceptional dishes, almost gourmet dishes... the menu was always different, there were themed nights, and a dessert buffet that I can't describe! Nadia was always available, kind, and smiling! The cleaning ladies were very kind and spotless! Our waiter, Rasti, was exceptional, joking and always on point, and the breakfast lady was also always very attentive, gentle, and super sweet! The bed was sooooo comfortable, the pool was well-maintained and clean… We really couldn't have asked for more than… adding another 10 days to our vacation ️️️ Thank you, thank you, thank you! Fantastic hotel!!! Excellent management. It's been a long time since I felt so pampered. The food was excellent, with delicious dishes, a plentiful breakfast with a wide selection of sweet and savory options, a spacious and spotlessly clean room, a beautiful pool, and the staff were always very kind and helpful... what more could you ask for? We had a wonderful holiday. Thank you and congratulations again.
